Luehr to Speak at M3AAWG 66th General Meeting

Manatt Privacy and Data Security Partner will speak at the Messaging, Malware and Mobile Anti-Abuse Working Group (M3AAWG) 66th General Meeting, taking place February 16–19, 2026 in San Diego, CA. Luehr will participate in two sessions during the conference.

On February 18, Luehr will speak in a session titled, “Book Him Danno: Coordinating with Law Enforcement.” The session will use real-world case studies to highlight effective cooperation with law enforcement when responding to online attacks and scams. Luehr will be joined by Alex Murray, a former FBI agent and member of the San Diego Elder Justice Task Force, with the discussion moderated by Betsy Broder, a former FTC official.

On February 19, Luehr will also speak during a lightning round session titled, “Changes in Platform Liability: Recent Legal Developments.” This session will examine recent legal developments affecting online platform liability protections, including a recent ruling by the EU’s Court of Justice and actions targeting addictive algorithms.

The M3AAWG General Meeting convenes global stakeholders, including ISPs, telecom companies, email providers, security firms, retailers and financial institutions, to discuss policy developments, technical challenges and collaborative approaches to addressing online security and abuse issues.
