Noah Adler to Moderate Westside Urban Forum SB 79 Panel

Manatt Senior Land Use Planner will serve as moderator for the Westside Urban Forum (WUF)’s Senate Bill 79 Panel, “SB 79 Is Here. How Are Cities Responding?,” taking place on September 17, 2026, at the Helms Design Center in Culver City, California.

During the program, Adler will lead a discussion featuring planning officials from the cities of Santa Monica, Beverly Hills and Culver City on how local jurisdictions are responding to SB 79 following its July 1 implementation. Panelists will provide a firsthand look at how their cities are interpreting, implementing and processing SB 79 applications, including the development of transit-oriented development alternative plans, local implementation ordinances and approaches to administering the state program.

WUF brings together civic leaders, developers, architects, urban planners and other professionals to engage in meaningful dialogue on land use issues affecting the Los Angeles region. Through educational programs, panel discussions and special events, WUF provides a platform for exchanging ideas and exploring strategies to improve the region’s urban environment.
