W. Joseph Anderson and Nathaniel Bach to Speak at BHBA’s 2026 Entertainment Law Summit
Manatt Entertainment Partner and Entertainment Litigation Partner will speak at Beverly Hills Bar Association’s 2026 Entertainment Law Summit on February 26.
This year’s summit will examine how artificial intelligence (AI), private equity, evolving talent rights, and shifting content markets are reshaping the legal and business landscape of entertainment.
Nat will speak on “Lights, Camera, Algorithm: AI Litigation Comes to Hollywood.” His panel will discuss the latest key rulings and developments in AI litigation affecting the entertainment and media industry, including copyright, fair use, settlements, and licensing deals affecting film studios, music labels, publishers, and generative AI platforms. They will also look toward anticipated rulings and developments, and assess how the AI and intellectual property landscape may look a year from now.
Joe’s panel, “Beyond the Likeness: Deepfakes, Digital Replicas, and What’s Ahead in AI” will cover deepfakes, digital replicas and synthetic performers, including new state laws, the proposed federal NO FAKES Act, and recent Executive Orders on AI. The panel will also unpack the DOJ’s new AI Litigation Task force, examine momentum for federal preemption of state AI regimes, and assess how these developments will reshape risk allocation, compliance and enforcement strategies for performers, talent representatives, and studios.
