Obamacare’s in Trouble as Insurers Tire of Losing Money

Bloomberg quoted Manatt’s Joel Ario, a managing director with Manatt Health, for an article about the challenges facing the Affordable Care Act as the four biggest U.S. health insurers admit they are each losing hundreds of millions of dollars on the plans.

Ario said enrollment is probably high enough to prevent a failure. Still, he said, more can be done. “I think you will see corrective action taken, assuming a Clinton administration,” he explained. “We need to do some regulatory tweaking here, maybe more than tweaking.”
