The publication examined the differing viewpoints on the proposal, noting that hospitals fear that it will lead to a shrinking pool of reimbursements, while proponents hope that it will lead to greater coverage for uninsured individuals.
Brooks-LaSure said that states could raise their Medicaid reimbursements and pay Medicare rates.
