From prevention to harm reduction, Pennsylvania has taken steps to treat the opioid crisis. The publication noted that the state has offered solutions, including easing regulations on prescribing treatment as one option.
“The ideal time for a patient to get treatment is when the patient says they want treatment. Patients that disappear without getting treatment may show up later in a morgue or something,” said Ario.
