Manatt’s Lisa Suennen, an incoming managing director with our Manatt Health team, was included in Silicon Republic’s list of nine individuals who have the experience and capacity to make a difference in the tech investment space.
The publication detailed Suennen’s future with the firm, noting that she will head the digital and technology business as well as the firm’s venture capital fund. Touching on her accomplishments, Silicon Republic additionally pointed out that Lisa was named a Top Digital Health Evangelist of 2018 by Goldman Sachs, Rock Health and Silicon Valley Bank.
As she discussed the issues she sees in the U.S. healthcare market, Suennen said, “I feel that, especially, the economic misalignment is really great for some bad decision-making and bad behavior in healthcare.”
To offset these issues and proactively transform the tech investment world for the better, Suennen founded a nonprofit, CSweetener, to match women in and near the healthcare C-suite with veteran mentors.
