Twelve Russian Officers Charged for Hacking Election

CNN Tonight with Don Lemon
– CNN

Manatt’s Jack Quinn, a partner in the firm’s government and regulatory practice, was interviewed by CNN to discuss the DOJ charges against 12 Russian officers.

CNN explored the evidence underlying claims that Russia meddled with the 2016 presidential election, and also noted the indictments of Russian agents by Robert Mueller for hacking the election.

“These indictments today were huge. They were huge because they are conclusive now, I think, particularly together with the first indictments on the point, that number one, Russia interfered with the election—no ifs, ands, or buts about it—that’s the conclusion that the Special Council has come to,” said Quinn. “And secondly, that that interference had, as its object, tilted the election toward one candidate, President Trump, and against the other candidate, Mrs. Clinton.”
