Manatt’s Bruce Gyory, a senior advisor in the government and regulatory practice, was interviewed by The Capitol Pressroom podcast about recent developments in New York’s state government in Albany.
He discussed a recently published editorial in Newsday about the push by Democratic senators from Long Island to implement a permanent cap on property taxes.
Gyory shared his thoughts on why Newsday’s editorial board may have felt compelled to draft and publish this op-ed.
“It wasn’t an attack piece; it was an admonition, in saying, ‘Don’t come back and tell us you passed the one House bill; come back and tell us you have a statute,’” said Gyory.
