Pawlak Quoted in Inside Health Policy on HHS’s Provider Relief Fund Reporting Requirements

Opposition Mounts To HHS’ Provider Relief Reporting Requirements
– Inside Health Policy

Manatt Health managing director Brenda Pawlak spoke with Inside Health Policy about HHS’s long-awaited Provider Relief Fund guidance, which imposes changes to its annual reporting requirements for providers that receive funding in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the article, Pawlak discussed the impact that switching from a lost revenue to an operating income standard could have on providers. In particular, she noted that this change could be especially impactful for smaller healthcare providers, saying, “it’s a lot for organizations to be managing just daily running a business -- health care business -- in the time of COVID. I do worry that this is going to be challenging for smaller organizations for sure.”
