Manatt Obtains LPR Status for Ukrainian Refugee Family
A Manatt pro bono team successfully obtained Legal Permanent Residence (LPR) status for a Ukrainian family that fled their home country due to the Russia-Ukraine war.
The clients, parents and their teenage daughter referred to as the H Family, arrived in the United States as refugees in 2022. Beginning in 2023, Manatt assisted the H Family in applying for Legal Permanent Residence (LPR) and employment authorization.
Since arriving in the United States, the family has settled into their new lives working and living in New York State. The daughter has been able to attend English and university classes and recently found work as a radiation technologist at a local hospital. The family has also been able to reunite with other family members living in America.
