Ritacco Named Board Chair of the Center for Civic Education

Manatt Senior Advisor was elected Chair of the Board of Directors for the Center for Civic Education, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting informed and engaged participation in democracy through civic education programs in the United States and around the world.

In this role, Mark will help guide the organization’s strategic direction and support its efforts to advance civic learning and constitutional literacy for students, educators and communities. His appointment reflects his longstanding commitment to public service, civic engagement and strengthening democratic institutions.

The Center for Civic Education is best known for its nationally recognized  programs, including We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution and Project Citizen. Through its curriculum, professional development initiatives and educational outreach, the organization equips individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to become active and responsible participants in civic life.
