NCAA President Begins to Use "Student" Instead of "Student-Athlete"

Earlier this week a sea change began to occur in the NCAA, when President Mark Emmert started to substitute the word "student" for "student-athlete." Manatt Sports Law Practice Group Chair, Ron Katz, suggested this change when he made a presentation to the Knight Commission on Intercollegiate Athletics last May.
