No Grounds Yet Stated for Russian Olympic Ban

The Court of Arbitration for Sport this last July 21 confirmed a decision that many Russian athletes would be banned from the Olympics without a determination for each of the athletes whether they had done anything wrong. No grounds for the decision were published, but the press release announcing the decision stated that that would be done "as soon as possible." It has not been done yet, a situation on which Ron Katz, senior counsel in Manatt's entertainment, sports and media litigation practice group, comments in Forbes.com:
