Talking Politics: Federal and California Election Results and Impact

The highly anticipated 2020 election is answering many long-standing questions about the direction of our country while leaving others still unanswered. The results will be felt across the nation and watched around the globe.

Join us for a one-hour nonpartisan panel discussion with an experienced group of Manatt federal and state government and regulatory professionals. Our team of speakers from both sides of the aisle, all of whom have spent portions of their careers in federal and state government, will discuss key takeaways of the results of the 2020 election.

Topics will include but may not be limited to:

  • Federal Issues—An overview of the results, a look at the surprising races, and what this all means for short-term priorities, plus shifts in committee chairmanships and how they will affect the legislative agenda, as well as prospects for the lame-duck period.
  • California Ballot Initiative Results—A look at some of the most significant ballot measures discussed in our pre-election webinar, with an eye toward which measures passed and how the results will affect doing business in the state.
