Enrollment erosion will likely be more acute in non-expansion states since they have a higher proportion of residents currently enrolled in ACA plans, the article explained. Mann noted that “everyone will be hit hard” if the enhanced ACA subsidies aren’t extended, adding, “But a state that hasn’t expanded Medicaid will have marketplace people enrolling at lower income levels,” she said. “So, a greater share of residents are reliant on the marketplace.”
