Profile

Profile

Natassia Rozario is a senior manager with Manatt Health, an interdisciplinary policy and business advisory division of Manatt. She provides policy analysis, strategic advice and technical support to a wide range of clients. She has over 15 years of experience working in the United States and abroad on complex issues involving health equity, human rights, public health and social justice.

Before joining Manatt, Natassia was the director of opioid response and policy for the New Jersey Department of Health, providing oversight and management of the department’s overdose surveillance, harm reduction and prevention activities in coordination with department’s leadership, as well as serving as a strategic advisor to the commissioner of health on the overdose epidemic and as the principal investigator on the Centers for Disease Control Overdose Data to Action Grant in New Jersey. During her tenure, she also helped lead and manage numerous COVID-19 mitigation efforts among some of the most vulnerable, including persons experiencing homelessness, victims of domestic violence and those in custody at county jail facilities. Prior to joining the department, she was named to serve on New Jersey Governor Murphy’s Healthcare Transition Team.

At the Camden Coalition of Healthcare Providers, she served in numerous roles, including as senior director of external affairs. During her time at the Camden Coalition, she helped lead a statewide Medicaid policy coalition; design and successfully lobby for housing-first programs, care coordination programs, and improved transportation for persons with medical and social complexity in New Jersey; pass legislation on integrated data in New jersey; and obtain grant funding to establish a National Center for Complex Health and Social Needs.

Natassia was also a Fulbright Fellow in India, a William J. Clinton Service Fellow in India and a research associate at the Center for Medicine as a Profession at Columbia University. Taken together, these experiences have afforded her a nuanced perspective of the health care system at local, state, national and global levels.

Throughout her career, she has published and has been a speaker on a wide range of topics related to health equity and health disparities.
