Stefan Malkoun is a Financial Services associate in the Firm’s Los Angeles office. His practice focuses on representing lenders and borrowers in a broad range of commercial lending and financing transactions, including secured and unsecured credit facilities, venture and growth financings, and acquisition‑related financings across a variety of industries.

Stefan regularly represents commercial banks, private credit providers, production companies, and other institutional and non‑institutional lenders, advising on both borrower‑side and lender‑side transactions. His experience also includes structuring and negotiating financings for film and television productions, advising on production‑level credit facilities, collateral packages and related security arrangements, and supporting production companies in connection with development, production, and distribution financing. He also has experience advising on transactions involving the acquisition, financing, and monetization of music catalogs and other intellectual property.

Before joining Manatt, Stefan worked as a contract attorney at a boutique transactional entertainment and digital media law firm and served as chief compliance officer for an entertainment talent agency. In those roles, he advised clients on a range of entertainment and media transactions, including influencer and brand agreements across major social media platforms. He also developed substantial experience with Federal Trade Commission guidelines, advertising compliance, and risk management for talent, brands, and agencies.
