Tara Zimonjic is a Manatt Health manager in the Firm’s San Francisco office. With a decade of public sector experience spanning health care policy, stakeholder engagement and public health strategy, she helps clients navigate the intersection of data, policy and regulation in California’s health care landscape.

Before joining Manatt, Tara served as branch chief at the California Department of Health Care Access and Information, where she led a 30-person team overseeing strategic planning, policy, budget, communications and stakeholder relations across a large portfolio of health care data and technology initiatives, including the launch of the state’s All Payer Claims Database. She played a key role in stakeholder engagement, legislative analysis and compliance strategy, helping shape statewide data governance and access policy.

Tara’s prior roles include leading the COVID-19 Policy and Guidance team at the California Department of Public Health and working as a policy analyst for California’s Medicaid agency.
