Manatt Entertainment Partner Chris Chatham was named as one of Hollywood’s Top Dealmakers of 2022 by The Hollywood Reporter, a list that recognizes professionals spearheading influential transactions of all kinds.
Chatham was acknowledged for his multiple deals representing some of the entertainment industry’s biggest titles, including Next Century Spirits in its Bear Fight Whiskey partnership with Seth MacFarlane and Stage 29 Productions, the executive producer of new CBS drama So Help Me Todd. He told The Hollywood Reporter the landscape now requires advisors to be multi-dimensional to reflect how their clients are pursuing multi-dimensional deals.
“I used to just do TV deals or movie deals. Now there’s all these new revenue streams for talent,” he said. “If you don’t have a TV show, a movie, a brand venture or some type of company that you’re using your following to build up, you’re just not a major player in the business anymore.”
