Brian Korn, Partner
Brian Korn, who is chair of the marketplace lending practice group of Manatt, and resident in its New York office. His practice focuses on corporate finance transactions, including IPOs, early-stage and start-up venture financings, and mature corporate and high-yield debt finance. He also advises clients on SEC compliance, broker-dealer compliance and corporate swap transactions. Mr. Korn has made multiple appearances on Fox Business Television, Bloomberg, CCTV America and National Public Radio commenting on the JOBS Act, including its impact on crowdfunding, peer-to-peer lending, IPOs and market trading dynamics.

Matt Burton, CEO, Orchard Platform
Matt Burton is the CEO of Orchard Platform, a technology and infrastructure provider for marketplace lending. Orchard supports operational efficiencies to help institutional investors, investment managers and loan originators connect and transact. Matt has spent his entire career helping build, scale, and optimize the internet's top advertising exchanges (Google, Admeld, LiveRail) and has overseen trillions of transactions. He is a three-time Texas State Tennis Champion and loves racket sports.

Michael Finkelstein, CEO and Founder, The Credit Junction
Michael Finkelstein is the CEO and Founder of The Credit Junction, which is an online lending platform providing working capital financing solutions to small and mid-sized manufacturers, suppliers and distributors. Michael has been an operational and financial executive at primarily high-growth companies within the technology, financial services and infrastructure industries for the past 15 years. Michael started his career in corporate finance at Salomon Brothers.

Christian Lawless, Founder and Managing Partner, Conversion Capital
Christian Lawless worked in the banking sector before he founded and became the managing partner of Conversion Capital LLC, an early stage venture capital fund. Conversion Capital focuses on the disruption and transformation of financial services and analogous sectors, leveraging technology as a change agent and driver of innovation. Conversion Capital was an early stage investor in marketplace lending businesses and related companies such as Orchard, Osper and EVEN financial.

George Popescu, Editor-in-Chief, Lending Times
George A. Popescu is the editor-in-chief of Lending Times, a news, data and analysis portal for executives of the P2P and marketplace lending industries. George has built over 10 businesses, and exited four of them successfully. He was the co-CEO and co-founder of Backed, an online lending marketplace focused on co-signed personal unsecured loans. Previously, he sold and exited Boston Technologies (BT) in 2014. BT is a fin-tech company in the currencies over-the-counter space. George was its founder and CEO, and boot-strapped it from a $0 to $20+ million business without any equity investment. BT was the number-one fastest growing company in Boston in 2011, and was on the Inc. 500/5000 list four years in a row. BT was acquired by Currency Mountain in 2014.
