Manatt Professionals Speak on Key Health and Policy Issues at NACo Annual Conference

Manatt was honored to participate in the 2026 National Association of Counties (NACo) Annual Conference in New Orleans last week, joining county leaders for timely discussions on the policy issues shaping communities across the country.

Three Manatt Health professionals shared their perspectives during featured conference sessions. and her co-presenter with lived experience of opioid use disorder shared experiences at the Opioid Settlement Summit and spoke about best practices for deploying settlement dollars to strengthen public health responses to the opioid crisis. participated in the Health Policy Steering Committee, where discussions focused on operational considerations related to H.R. 1’s new work requirements. joined the Large Urban County Caucus Meeting, where he addressed how counties can help hospitals and health care systems leverage their real estate to expand housing opportunities, improve patient outcomes, recruit and retain workforce, and improve their financial position – a topic in its article on hospital consolidation and affordable housing.
