Manatt’s corporate and finance group recently closed the sale of Rsquared Communication, a San Francisco-based strategic communications partner to the tech industry’s leading software companies and high-growth venture-backed startups, in its acquisition by Archetype, a global marketing and communications agency. The transaction closed on April 26. Manatt’s team included Craig Miller, leader of the financial services group, and Robert Duran, a partner in the tax, employee benefits and executive compensation group.
The acquisition was strategic for Archetype, whose goal was to bolster its local talent in San Francisco, one of the most competitive markets in the industry. It is also a significant development for eight-person firm Rsquared Communication, whose clients will benefit from Archetype’s expanded footprint, offering a staff of 700 in 20 offices spread across North America, Europe and the Asian Pacific.
