Carrington Quoted in City and State on Funding of New York's Public Health System

Manatt Health Managing Director Eboné Carrington was quoted in an article for City and State New York on Mayor Eric Adams's commitment to invest $145 million in resources to support hospitals and medical facilities after the surge of the omicron COVID-19 cases. 

The funding will help shore up hospitals beyond the omicron surge, said Carrington. “It’s to help them get through the next couple of waves." State and local health officials also expressed the need for additional Medicaid funding for a public health system that has had years of disinvestment and neglect. "The level of payment reform that’s required for the Medicaid program and for underinsured or uninsured individuals is really at the heart of this conversation,” Carrington said.
